This is a quick and easy process that our representative or surveyor can perform. The first step is to take photos around your home of things like your roof, utility meter, electrical panel and where you would like to install the solar panels.
After the site survey is complete, our design team will gather all of the information from the site survey, your capacity needs and your design preferences to put together the final plans for your system. We will notify you if we need additional documents or signatures.
We help you get through all of the state and municipal approvals and paperwork. Assuming that we have all of the signatures needed to move forward, we will work to get your permits from the town and interconnection approvals from the utility company. Timelines may vary based on your town and utility company.
After the permits have been approved we will schedule an installation date to visit your home and install solar equipments.
After installation we will work with your local government to schedule a final inspection to ensure the installation is in compliance with local regulations.
After receiving all necessary local government approvals, we will apply for a PTO from your local utility company. This generally involves an application, inspection of the site, installation of new bi-directional energy meter (capable of tracking both the energy you produce and the energy you use), and final approval. Once this is completed, you can begin saving money with the solar energy you produce.
